CLAIM AGAINST PUBLIC TRUSTEE

AUCKLAND, October 24. Mr J. H. Witheford, ex-M.P., is suing the Public Trustee as executor of the estate of the late A. J. Cadman and others for £49,500, for alleged breach of contract in relation to the Parapara iron deposits. Before Mr Justice Cooper, in Chambers to-day, an an application was made on behalf of the defendant for security for costs on the grounds that Witheford was resident out of the Dominion. The matter was adjourned for further affidavits.
