THE NINTH CASE.

Another case of incendiarism occurred at Rangiora at 11 o'clock hisi night, an unsuccessful attempt beiii», made to burn down an old dilapidated and unoccupied cottage in Bla .koU street, the property of Mr Mark Sfott, and next door to the building vhich was set on fire on a Sunday night a few weeks ago. Mr C. Dunmortia, who lives close by, observed the fire before it had obtained a good hold and gave the alarm. The brigade reipoi.led promptly, and the outbreak was quickly extinguished. The fire had &J;»»-te3 on the outside at the back of f he building, which contained a quantity of vo f?toes in sacks.
