At the recent competition held in London by the Music Trades Association of Great Britain, open to Pianoforte Manufacturers throughout the World, for an Upright Iron Grand, the instrument manufactured by WILLIAM SAMES, LTD., Birmingham and London, obtained the highest possible number of marks in nearly every one of the twenty-three particulars. A large number of manufacturers competed, both English end foreign, and it is satisfactory to know that the result is in favor of the British workman. The examination, which was conducted by about seven experts in pianos, was a severe one, and as no makers' name appeared on any of the instruments, there is no doubt as to its •fairness. WILLIAM SAMES, LTD., were accordingly appointed makers to the Association and received a large contract fox a yearly supply of their Pianos. OVER ** 30 PIANOS AND ORGANS TO SELECT FROM.
