[press association.] CHRISTCHURCH, December 7.

The long continued dry weather is causing anxiety to farmers and agriculturists and it is felt that imless there is abundant Tain within the next week the prospects of even an. average harvest will be small. The shortage of feed is most severely felt by holders of lambs intended for freezing, and unless rain falls it is feared a number will be forced on the market, causing i& glut and fall of prices.
