NELSON, December 7.

Mr T. M. Grant, Acting Chief Secretary of the Lands Office, who broke a leg in a coach accident at Matakitaki a fortnight ago, died at Murchison this morning. The body is to be brought tr Nelson. Deceased leaves a widow and two children.
