YOUTHFUL HOUSEBREAKERS.

N GISBORNE, December 2. In the Juvenile Court this morning, two boys, one aged twelve and the other, ten, were brought before the Magistrate on eight charges of breaking and entering shops in town. In one case the boys admitted having taken £10, most of which they threw into the river. The boys had hidden fifty-two keys taken from various premises. Detective Maddern stated that the boys had been reading "Deadwood Dick" trash, to which he attributed the crimes. The boys are of respectable parentage and have good homes, but they have got beyond control. The parents pleaded that the boys should bo given another chance. The Magistrate remanded them that he miqiit ascertain the amount appropriated.
