FAMOUS RELICS STOLEN.

A famous reliquary, worth £8000, stolen from a church at Ainbazac, Mas traced to London, owing to the portfolio of a man named Thomas, containing a receipt, being found in. the Seine. The French Government demand the restitution of the reliqvary. A Paris dealer in antiquities confessed that he purchased many rare treasures from Thomas, of -which he surrendered a relic, consisting of a finger of St. Louis, stolen from a church at Passy. French detectives secured ' many' letters addressed to Parisian dealers in antiquities by persons purporting 10 be secularised monks, stating that, fearing impending ruin, owing to tha Government's policy, they desired to sell the church treasures, substituting imitations. *
