ALLEGED EXTENSIVE THEFTS

DUNEDIN, September 5. William Patrick Harrington, employed as salesman at the Mutual Stores Drapery Company, was committed for trial to-day on a charge of the theft of goods valued at £100. The thefts s are alleged to have taken place in small parcels at various periods between December, 1906, and August, 1907. Ladies' silk blouses, children's clothing, men's socks, singlets, and some\ glassware are included in the goods claimed more or less definitely as belonging to the company. Accusi ed, who is about 26 years of age, was liberated on bail in his own recognisance of £150 and two sureties of £75 each.
