Sa'es were held during the week at Okaia.\va on Monday and Hawera on Thursday and a clearing sale on behalf of Miss White, Whakamara, on Tuesday. A.t Okaiawa we had a good yarding and a brisk sale, all classes of cattlo showing a sharp improvement on recent rates. There was a good attendanoei at Miss White's sale, which resulted in an excellent clearance. The herd of 50 oows averaged t £G. At Hawera we had a very | heavy yarding, cattle especially coming forward considerably in excess of adwr- j tised* numbers, every pen being sold. The ' improved demand for cattle experienoed at Okaiawa was maintained, there bedng j good cempetition right through the sale. Sheep sold well.
