M.P., in a letter to the Times, says his speech at Huddersfield had been misrepoitod. Referring to the terrible incidents at, Belfast, he had remurked that the fight was most unequal, since one side liad military tiaining, ball cartridges, Gatlings, and bayonets, and the other had only Vroken bottles. His statement was a very different thing ia that attributed to Mm. FLAX SPINNERS GIVE NOTICE. THIRTY THOUSAND WORKERS IDLE (Received August 16. 8.16 a.m.) LONDON, Augir&t 15. The Belfast- flux spinners have given a fortnight's notice. Thirty thousand workers are idle owing to th© disorganisation in consequence of the strike.
