Abraham and Williams report : —
At Palmerston on Thursday a good yarding of sheep met with keen competition, and prices for all classes were well up, and in some cases above recent quotations. 2-tooth ewes made 15s 4d to 16s 4d, 4-tooth ewes 17s 5d to 18a 9d, -r and 6-itooth ew«s 16s 7d, 6-tooth and f.f'.m. ewes 14s 4d to 15s lid, 4 and syear ewes 12s 6d to 12s lid, cull ewee 7s 6d to 7s lid, lambs 8s lid fco 10s sd, cull lambs 6s Id, 2 and 4-toc*h wethers 15s 9d, 2-tooth wethers 14s 3d, Southdown rams 3^ to 4 guineas, Lincoln ■rams 3| guineas, English Leicester trams £1 Ib, 3-year steers £4 10s, weanexs 7s 6d to 10s, 2-year heifers in calf £2 3s, fat cows £4 to £4 12s. 6d, forwaid cows £2 10s, store cows 20s to 255.
