MANAIA SPORTS.
(From Our Own Cbrpeispondent.) The sports meeting held in the Domain grounds on Thursday was wel patronised, and the weather was all that could' be desired. The different events filled up well and some good racing resulted. The following are the results of principal events: — In the one-mile boys' bike race, for which tlhere were five entries, A. Wallace on the 7yds mark was first and, J. Wills (13yds) second. 100 yds handicap, with eight starters — A. Milne (Byds) 1, T. ODea (6yds) 2. 75yds boys' race, with nine, startens — E. Hurley 1, Brandy 2. Two mile bike, ten starteis — First heat • Smith (scr) 1, C. Arps (10yds) 2. Second beat— H. Sharpe 1, T. Henderson (30yds) 2. In the final Smith and Sharpie had accidents, thus spoiling their chances, and T. Henderson came in first, with. Arps 2nd. 120 yds hurdles : eight started— J. Campbell 1, J. D. Crowley 2. 2?oyds Handicap;* four started— J. Fitzgerald came in first, with J. Campbell second. 1 In the evening the sport© committee I held a 'social in the Public Hall, at which i there was a good attendance. Thie music (piano and violin) 'was supplied by Misses [ Dick and the extras by Mr G. F. Kean, whilst Messrs* C. Davies and F. Butler acted as M.C's. Light refreshments were handed round, and a very enioyable time wias spent.
