Ladies and Gentlemen, — OJOME of my neighbors and fellow-businessmen have, in their great benevolence (golden rule bevebse side), considered it best, as my health has not been good for some time, that I should close my Stationery Shop at 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and this against my wish or inclination and the public convenience. To compel me to do so they have thought it righ,t to call in fche expert knowledge of the Inspector of Shops and Factories to decide that, as I sell a certain amount of electroplate and silverware in connection with my fancy goods business, that I must be classed as a jeweller ; and so have to close my Stationery and Fancy Goods Shop at 9 p.m on Saturdays as the Jewellers do — two of whom signed fche requisition to the Minister of Labor. There being three others besides myself who sell Electro-plate Ware who did not sign the requisition for fche early closing, shows that their request was granted upon misrepresentation, as they were in fche minority. However, to save trouble and probable expense, I have decidedjfco fall in with their request and be classed as a JEWELLER, with many thanks for the honor and for bringing the Business so prominently before fche public. I shall from the undermentioned date give a REDUCTION of 25% on all CASH SALES in connection with the JE.WELLERY BUSINESS. Goods not previously kept will be added to make stock as complete as possible. The public are respectfully invited to compare our prices.
