Mr Botha, in a message thiough the press to th© British people, says Britain will uevev have cause feo regret the trust placed in the Boer people, who had faith in the Transvaal's future and believed that prosperity and contentment are achievable by legislation in the interests of all. He declaiies there ore many difficulties ahead, but the two races are co-operating for the country's good.

Mr Edward P. Solomon, in a message, gives an assurance that as far as the Boers are concerned racialism is dead.
