CORNED BEEF HORRORS.

The revelations concerning the Walter Bintz Corned Beef Factory hetre (says a Hamburg despatch of December 19) rival those of the Chicago packinghouses. Tne state in which the authorities found the factory, after the owner fled, was absolutely indescribable. EmpJoyees state that only meat' which has been rejected ■elsewhere was purchased! by Heir Bintz.

That gentleman has fled to Canada, after acquiring £15,000 by a clever fraud. He approached a wealthy merchant and asked him to invest that sum in the factory, after inspecting the -works. The victim agreed), and Bintz, having arranged! .the visit, gave Ms usual employees a holiday, brought in a new staff, provided them with clean clothing, and actually went to tihe length of buying a quantity of fresh meat. The visitor was impressed, and paid the money. Steps are being taken for Bintz's exfcradatiion from Canada.
