The Red cliffs Exhibition rifle meeting opened afc Redcliffs in magnificent wea ther. The range is in fine order after tlhie rain. There are entries for the championship > event, and among the competitors are eight Bisley men and the following ex-champions : — Captain J. Ross, A. Ballinger, A. L. Gee, Captadn King, Lieut. -Colonel Okey, R. J. King, Lieut. Irvine, J. Ching, W. H. Ballinger. Twenty targets are being used and the competitors ai© divided into two sections. Among the entrants are representatives froir Melbourne and Syd"ney, and almost every centre of New Zealand. Murphy (Ohristchurch) was the first to ''get a snot away, soaring 4.
