Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Wellington, have ir.eceived' the following cable from London dated the 14th inst. : —

Frozen Meat. — Fair demand for lamb. Poor diemand for mutton. There is less demand for beef, and prices are weaker. We quote: — N.Z. prime crossbred, lamb, Canter oury, .heavy weights, sfd. North Islaaid, heavy, s^d. N.Z. prime carossbued mutton, Canterbury .heavy, 4^d. North Island, 4£d. Canterbury lamb, light weights, 6di. North Island, sfd. Light weights, Cantei'buTy mutton, 4£d. North Island 4£d. N.Z. prime ox beef, fores, 2|d; hinds, 3£d.

Butter — Market weak. Copenhagen, official quotation/ is lower by 2 kroner (about 2s 3d) per cwt. Tihe total imposts of butter into the United' Kingdom for the week ending t/he 9bh inst. amounted to 110,000 cwt, as compared with 72,000 cwt for the corresponding week of 1906.
