The oat market remains on the bare side, stocks held hero being very light, and it is very difficult at present to obtain fresh supplies, as holders in the South are very firm. A rise of a penny per bushel has just been advised. The new season's crop from' Southland is not expected to come in for two or three weeks yet, and it is anticipated that prices will open high.
