The Industries and Commerce Department has received the ' following cable from the High Commissioner, dated London, May 24:— The wool sales have closed. The advanoe has been partially lost in medium , coarse cuoasbreds ;s all grades slightly easier; 90,000 bales New Zealand wool were sold at auction. European oosnpe* tjtion is very keen, but Americans exercised great caution. Trade i 9 good, 'nanufacturers being busy. I fully anticipated present prices would be maintained. TJne estimated values of -wool are au fcQkws*. — Fine crossbreds. all grades, 1a 3d io Is scl ; medium, all grades,, Is o£d to Is 2^dj coarse, all grades, ll^d to Is 2d; uperior merinos. Is 2^d to Is sd ; medium merinOj Is o^d to Is 2^d; inferior merino. 10W to Is.
