(From Our Own Correspondent.) j About forty householders attended. Mr John White was voted to the chair. •
The Secretary (Mr F. Meredith) read the report and balance-sheet which was considered very ".satisfactory, the incoming lOomnYitfow (Baring & credit balance of £10 0s 9d, which, with tlie capitation gr^ant just received from the Board, gives a total of £19 18s 9d, and against which ! there is only about £6 7s 6d owing. i The report complimented the school staff on .the "result of the late examination. , Although it was held a month earlier than ! usual the : result was very satisfactory, i . Mr .McKoy proposed, and Mr Dudley seconded, Tfiafc the report and balance-sheet-be adopted.— Carried. j
Mention was- made of the outgoing Committee's energy, tegular attendance of maetings, and the manner in -which they had. worked in the interests of the school during the past year, and a vote of thanks was accorded them. A special, vote waa given to Messrs F. Meredith and Kirk Ha4,l for work done at the school and on the grounds, thereby saving the Committee .much expenses. *
Ttoa following, were elected for the cut- ! rent year : J. White, F. Meredith, S. Hei»derson-, D. Gneen F. Andrews, K. HaM, and H. Dudley, all the old Committee be- , uig re-elected with the exception of one ' who declined to be again, nominated. Mr S. H. Anderson' was the cmly new member, i After the householders' meeting tha- 1 Committee met and Mr J. White was again elected Chairman and Mr F. Meredith Secretary and Treasurer.
