LONDON, April 9.
Sir H. Campbell-Bantnerman, speaking at the Fishmonger's Socfiety dinner, emphasised the Government's desdre for concilia.tion and harmony in South Africa, justice and equality to all whites, and Certainly to maintain British supremacy.
He hoped the settlement at Algeciras would lead to a diminution of the MgKfcful military burdens of the nations. Britain could set an example.
He unged fiscal reformers to let the agitation Test awhile, in order to diminish the prejudicial effects of uncertainty.
Lord JPweedmouth said the Navy was never so well equipped, officered and manned, or so fit as it was now.
