There was a large attendance at the Opera House on Monday night, on tfa occasion of the reappearance in Hawera of xMtDermotts Biograph .snow. "The hunt for the kidnapped child," another humorous absurdity, appeared to have the greatest effect on the audience. A- railway tragedy was very realistic. A few lime- " hght views of the New Zealand footballers preceded the much-looked for Hivine pictures of the" Northumberland and ■ Glamorgan ■ matches. "The lattery how, ever, did not provoke any enthusiasm, although- some of -the views, such as . the team entering t!he field, were very good. In the try scored by Hunter — in which Hawera 'people ware most interested—it was impossible to distinguish the players. - , f Professor- Scott.' ventriloquial entertainer and magician, showed himself quite up to the average at sleight of hand, and he succeeded in mystifying -the, audience. His ventriloquial performance was also clever and caused much laughter. The company appear 'again tins evening, when another pacjeed house is expected^
