Although Phoenix beat Midlands somewhat easily the game was most interesting and brought oat some excellent cricket, especially among the younger players. Phoenix batted first, and put up the good total of 125. D. Bobbins deserves special mention ior securing the highest total on ins side, obtained by capital cricket. W Cole hit hard for 27. Midlands fared badly at the. oixtset, Pnatt and 1,.
