CORRESPONDENCE.

THE OEO HOTEL.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, — I understand it is intended to rebuild the Oeo Hotel on the old site. Now anyone with any knowledge of the locality yrSl agree with me that a hotel there is an absurdity, aha isolated position renders it useless as a public convenience ■yvhiife it makes abuse possible. If we are to ihavie a hotel let us have it in Pihanm whene we can get the maximum of good from, it with a minimum evil. Placed here it would .always be under the eye of the and general public, which of course would tend to its being con ducted in a proper manner, whereas at Oeo there is no check whatever upon the licen&ee>. I feel sure that if all the facts weije placed.'jibefore the Licensing bench there' would be no difficulty in having the' license transferred to this township. Trusting the matter will be taken up and an effort made in the direction I have indieatted. — I am, etc., PRO BONO PUBLICO. Pihama, February 26, 1906.
