f AUCKLAND, January 24. The division of the. Education Districts into three wards, as provided by fhe Education Act Amendment on the basis of average attendance for the purpose of the election of new Boards in August next, came up for some adverse criticism by members of the Board of" Education this morning. , Mr Parr said it' seemed to him to be a most retrograde-.stepj*- and would lead to jealousies and endles£..-grievanceg such as existed in the city, before wards were wiped out. He moved that this Board express the -opinion that -the legislation was a retrograde fites. - Mr McKeoizie said* it. -was the law, and he considered that the pyetem should have a trial.- • • > • ' -.•'■•■
