Cricket Council to-night, the committee ■appointed to- enquire, into the alleged watering of the wicket during -the Otago■Canterbury. match- reported* after hearing evidence, that' they had unanimously, come to the conclusion that the wicket had not been watered or tampered with in any way whatever. The umpires for the match are completely satisfied, that the rolling of the wicket after the rain which fell during the morning was quite sufficient to account for the- damp appearance i thereof. - .' ■ •.•••/ ■' 1 The report was adopted.
