ST. PETERSBURG, January 23.
"Red Sunday" anniversary was quiet throughout Russia, owing to the display of military force.
The Governor of St. Petersburg declared he would quell demonstrations without mercy, and would fire without warning.

At a congress a number of the nobility of Moscow were appointed as a deputation to urge upon the Czar the matter of accelerating the dates of the Duma's meeting, and also to postpone- all agrarian legislation until then.
Since the beginning of December the police have discovered in the chief Russian cities eight laboratories and f bomb factories, 258 unfilled bombs, large quantities of powder, dynamite and cartridges, three English- machine guns, and other arms.
