NOT WRECKAGE.
MEREY DISCARDED TIMBER.
[press association.]
AUCKLAND, January 22. Regarding the wreckage washed ashore near the-Tairua, Mr D. Gouk states that it ia probably from the steamer Stella. Last week, whilst on the coast, one of "Me Gouk's sons earned out alterations to the Stella, and the old timber was thrown overboard near Hipper Island, and as the current sets in towards the boat harbor the surmise is that it belonged to the Stella.
