ADDINGTON STOCK SALES.

CHRISTCHURCH, December 13. Store sheep — 109 four-tooth wethers 16s 6d, 170 at 15s 6d, 250 two-tooth wethers 13s 6d, 88 at 12s 6d, 40 aged ewes and lambs 8s lOd, 153 at 6s 3d (all counted), 54 ewes 7s lOd. Fat lambs-^-Prices showed a decline of fully Is 6d to 2s per head. Best sorts made 15s to 16s 6d, a few extra to 17s 9d. others 13s 9d to 14s 6d. Fat sheep— There was a fairiy large yarding of fat sheep. Ewes of all classes brought much lower rates than last week, and aethers that were not well finished were easier. A few wethers were taken for export at 16s 6d to 18s. ■ Prime v*ethers 18s to 20s Id, others 15s to 17s 6d, best ewes 15s 6d to 17s 6d. a few extra to 19s. others 13s 6d to 15s, merino wethers 9s 6d to 10s 3d.

Fat Cattle. — The sale opened very dull, but afterwards improved, and prime quality maintained late rates. Beef brought equal to 22s to 25s for prime, and 19s to 21s for inferior to medium per 1001b. Store and dairy cattle. — There was a large mixed entry of store cattle, for which there was a dull demand, and dairy cows were difficult to dispose of. Yearlings made 18s to 20s. 15-months to 18months 35s to 425, 6d, two-year heifers 50s to 555, 2£40 3-year steers £4 2s, threeyear steers £4 12s to £5 10s, three-year heifers £3 5s to £3 15s. dry cows 15s to £4, dairy cows £3 10s to £7. Pigs. — Baconers made 30s to 38s, equal to 3d per lb; porkers 22s to 30s, smaller 16s to 20s, equal to 4d per lb ; large stores 18s to 245. medium 10s to 17s. suckers and weaners 3s to Bs.
