IMPLEMENTS AND MACHINERY. J. HOPKIRK.
Still another importxint development in. local industry is shown by the splendid lot oi castings from Mr J. Hopkirlr's foundry. There are two lamp posts, one as it came from the cast, and the other dressed, and from the quality it is apparent that all other things being equal there is no necessity to send out of the district for goods of this description. _ A show of email castings includes pinions, grates, cogs, stands of various kinds, and other special lines. This is the first occasion tbat local manufactures of ths sort have been on view and they (naturally ottract a good deal of attention. MESSRS ROBINSON AND STEPHEN, of Eltham, have en view the new multi6pray Rochester pump. It has a spring shut-off, and the name of the muzzle, the kpjit-kiogg, at once indicates the specialfeature of the terminal fixture. Since the potato blight has become 6o general, farmers are naturally interested in the appliance with which the exhibitors affirm a n.an can. spray six acres of crop in a diy. NEWTON KING.
