PARTIAL RAILWAY STRIKE CONTINUED.
A SERIES OF STREET FIGHTS. (Received November 4, 8.33 a.m.) BT. PETERSBURG, November 3. A partial railway strike continues, chiefly to prevent sending the troops to Finland. Kholkoff is willing to prepare a scheme to regulate men's wages, but resists an eight or ten-hours- day. The'union of unions and organisations of professional classes demand the withdrawal
of the troops from St. Petersburg and favor a militia drawn from the people. The troops are participating in a pillage at Oladikavkas, 15 people having been killed. The council of workmen's delegates at St. Petersburg has suspended the political strike, to be resumed in arms in 30 days unless their demands are granted. Only newspapers ignoring the censorship are allowed by the workmen's council to appear.
