THE FISHER CHARGES,

WELLINGTON, August 2.
When the House met. tliis afternoon Mr Fisher was in his place, and made a long statement regarding his charges against the Government. He said he believed the Sneddon voucher produced by the Premier was an absolutely genuine document. The mistake was his own and lie took all blame for it. He added, however, that he honestly and conscientiously believed there is Tinother voucher which was payable to Captain Seddon, and he asked for on impartial enquiry into this charge, and expressed his ability to substantiate it. Mr Seddon declared there was no such Vs oucher in existence, and "belief" could nob be taken as a ground for an -enquiry.
