LONDON, August 2.

General Linevitch informed the Czar that it is untrue that the army is dangerously situated ; its flanks had never been turned, and the two armies were facing each other. The Japanese are some distance from the principal Russian position, and all their attempts to approach nearer have been unsuccessful. The morale of the Russians inspires complete confidence that the army is ready for any task
