(Received June 27, 7.29 a.m.) LONDON, June. 26. Russians, when retreating, murdered seven inativcß at Nanshan and CKiiigtec. Fifteen thousand Russians are entrenched -at Kwainei on ihe left bank of the Tumcn. Strenuous efforts arc being made to improve the defence of Vlndivostok_and increase the supplies.^ .There-Js an "army corps at Vladivostok.

RETREATERS SUFFER SEVERELY.
(Received June 26, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 26. Field-Marshal Oyama reports that forthe purpose of driving back the enemy the Japanese on Thursday attacked the force holding the high lands nortli-west of Nanshanchingtu, and eastwards of Yingching. The enemy soon wavered, and a portion began to retreat, though the remainder obstinately clung to their position... The Japanese vigorously assaulted them, and subsequently made a flank movement. The retreating enemy, being under fire, suffered heavily. * , The infantry and cavalry availed themselves of the Bed Cross flag, but the Jap-" anesc continued the pursuit," driving the Russians north in great disorder. The enemy numbered 3000. ..JSeveval guns were left, besides 50 dead. The Russian total losses were 200. The Japanese bad two killed and 17 wounded.
