HEAVY MAILS.
WELLINGTON, March 20.
The Secretary of the Postal Department has been advised that the Sierra, which left 'Frisco on the 18th for Auckland, has 1200 bags of mail matter, which is nearly double the usual number. It is believed that this is owing to the uncertain running of the Orient steamer?. Little use jb now made of the Eastern service for the New Zealand mails from London.
