BERSENIFF HILL TAKEN.

CAPTURED AT THE BAYONET POINT.

(Received February 27, 8.40 a.m.) LONDON, February 26. General Sakharoff reports that the Japanese captured Bersenitf Hill at the bayonet point, advancing over the bodies of their own dead and exploding the surface mines under barbed wire entanglements.

The Japanese losses are considerable, but the Russian losses are not yet ascertained.

The attack on Tasyling Pass was re pulsed.
