PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Patea West Road Board was held (the Press reports) on Monday, there being present — Chairman, Messrs Foreman, Allen, and A. Pearce.

Mr Hawken applied for repairs to his road, and it was resolved that the matter bo attended to as soon as the grader is available.

Mr Pearce reported that the repairs to Otoia road had been attended to. The chairman reported that he had been to Marton and examined the metal there. He found that there was too much sand in the ordinary metal, but the river bed metal (crushed) was very good, but could not get it crushed at Marton. Application was received for repairs to Ngapapa road. — It was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the chairman to attend to.

It wan decided to call alternative tenders for the delivery of 400 yards of beach stone at Alton, crushed and uncruahed; also 440 yards of the same stone at Uurleyvijle, contracts to be completed by the end of March. In the event oL there being no tenders the supply to be obtained from Inglewood through the County Council.

Accounts to the amount of £60 were passed for payment.
