EXPLOSION ON A LAUNCH.

TWO MEN KILLED; OTHERS INJURED. [press association.] (Received November 30, 1.15 a.m.) -LONDON, November 29. While a steam launch and a pulling cutter belonging to the training ship Vernou, at Portsmouth, were engaged in "sweeping" practice with the usual explosives a terrible accident occurred. One charge had been fired satisfactorily, and others were then found to bo countermined. While trying to free those an explosion blew the cutter to fieces. The launch was also launch, wo men were killed, and two severely injured, while eight others suffered less severe injuries.
