FLOODS AT DARGAVILLE.

AUCKLAND, November 29. A telegram from Dargaville states tnat yesterday a strong north-east gale tlew, accompanied by very heavy rain. The creeks in the district are in fresh, and damage to roads and bridges are reported to be considerable. (Some damage was done at Kaihu, and portions of the breastwork at Trownson's mill were demolished, and stacKs of timber were carried bodily away for some distance. Fences and gardens in the township were destroyed, and one house was catried bodily a distance of some yards. The residents of several buildings were compelled to leave their houses, and the township is strewn with logs and timber. The Kaihu railway line and 3everal bridges were considerably damaged and approaches washed away.
