DUNEDIN STOCK SALES.
DUNEDIN, October 6.
At the Burnside market to-day, 149 fat cattle wfie yardad, principally medium an-J light bullocks >of fair quality. Last week's prices were maintained, but unfinished were easier. Fat bullocks £10 5s to £lt 12s 6d, medium £9 to £10, light £7 5» to £8 Ss; test heifers £7 5s to £C. .extra prime up to £9 2s 6d. medium £5 16s to £6 15s. light £4 10s to £5 10s. Fat Sheep.— -2212 were penned, of which only about 100 were ewes. The demand was not si> good as last week, and prices were Is per head easier. Best wethers 25h to 275, medium 23s 6d to 24s 6d, light 20s to 22s 9d. Lambs.— s6 were pennpd, of fair to good quality, <md were well competed for. Prices were easier by fully 3s per head. Best 16s 6d to 18s. medium 14s to 18s, others 14s to 15*. light 12s 3d to 13s 6d. Pigs— 93 were yarded. The larger classes sold much better than at last week' 3 sale, but suckers and slips were unchanged. Suckers 9s 6d to 11s 6d, slips 13s 6d to 18s, stores 19s to 245, porkers 25s to 33*, bacon«r3 36s to 495, choppers to 68s.
