CORRESPONDENCE.

PRICE OF BREAD.

(To the Editor.)

Sir,— ln answer to letters re price of bread, I would like to point out that flour is £2 15s per ton dearer than it was three months ago. I am sure the person who states that there is 300 per cent, profit in bread baking does not know what he is talking about, or is a stranger V> the truth. If the correspondent will show the public how the 300 per oent. is made I would be much obliged to him, and it would also do justice to the bakers, who have to work hard for what they get.— l am, etc., ONE WHO KNOWS SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
