'deceived September 22, 9.12 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 22. Parker dropped out of the championship after a well-contested game with I'ockley. The latter had steadily improved from the opening of the tournament. With two sets in a-picce the deciding set was fought tenaciously, tba local player having the best of it with good 'net play. The result was : Pockley 6—4. 4—6,4 — 6, 6—4, 4—6,4 — 6, 6—3.6 — 3. Pocklcy and Rice* are left in the final. Parker and Miss Braemar beat Griffiths and Miss Crofton 4—6,4 — 6, 6—2, 6—3.6 — 3.
