BRIBERY IN THE BUTTER TRADE.
MELBOURNE, May 6: A witness before the Royal Commission to enquire into the butter trade said that bribery tp secure trade was rampant. One firm with which he had been connected spent about £5000, or £20 weekly, au bribes.
