Received 5, 9.26 a.m. NEW YORK, January 4. At (!n> inquest on the victims of the hre at the Iroguois TheaWe, the evidence showed that the draught from the doors which were opened behind the stage blev down a fan screen containing a number of mcandaioont lights. ■' The scwon fan Ml with a crash like art explosion, and the heat of the flood of light on the screen ignited the flimsy borders of the scenery, and then 75,000 feet of oiled Manila rope, \wod in suspending 380 drop scenes, caught fire. The asbdstos curtain had not been arriugeii to drop quickly. It was on an endless rope and was lowered wit'i difficulty, it being obstructed on its des<»nt by a .steel reflector, which had been carelessly left to itself and swung out.
