Per, Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND,' December 9. Commissioner-General Green, v.ho is commencing a lour of the colony on behalf of the. 'United Mates Government in the interests of the St. Louis Exposition, addressed a , meeting of merchants and ethers under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce fco-day. He explained the principal features of. the Exposition, and emphasised the benefits to be derived by representation at such monster 'gatherings 1 of all nations; Commissioner Grsen -will confer with Sir Joseph WarJ to-moxiow on the sub; ject of the Go/ernnw>r.t taking st<?ps to be represented' at the Exposition.
