MANAIA TOWN BOARD.

Tbe monthly meeting of tbe Board was held on Wednesday night. Present : Messrs Hunt (Chairman), Craig, and Young.
Resolved, " That action of Chairman in accepting A. Franklin's tender for painting the Fire Brigade Station and the wood work at monument at £6 be confirmed.'.' • ■'■ '-■ '
The Opunake Town Board wrote asking fpr this Board's co-operation in the matter of approaching the banks re allowing interest on gredit balances of current account. Resolved, J.'Thafi the Board co operates with the Qpunake Town Board in tbe matter."
Resolved, That residue on horse sold out of pound, property pf Mr John RloCarten, bo paifj over. Tbe condition qf the oemetery road was mentioned, it having been cut up by metal carting from the pemetery gravel piS
ft was agreed that nothing of a permanent pharacter shou}d be attempted until the proper season, The matter of kerbing both footpaths on the main Btreet from Rangouri street to the present Jierbing was brought up, and it was generally thought that the Board should attempt 10 finance in this direction during tbe coming season, Tbe usual accounts were passed for payment, and the Board rose.
