PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.
The Board met on Friday.
Considerable discussion took place as to the employment of Mr Fairhall in surveying the deviation on Garsed road.
It was decided that the Board strike no rate for 1902-3.
The resolution of May 3rd, 1902, re road through Mr Pease's property, was rescinded.
Mr Pease will be informed that the Board will require stumps to be thoroughly removed.
Statement of accounts presented showed a deficiency of £250 19s lOd ; accounts passed £45 10s 3d.
A special meeting was then held, to institute a special order levying a special rate for loan of £8000 for metalliog Ball road.
A long discussion arose as to the bona fides of the petition, and objection was raised that no particulars of cost were forthcoming. Eventually the resolution was negatived. — Press.
