RESCUING A SHIPWRECKED OREW.
Received August 20, 10.24 a.m. Sydney, August 20. The agents of the Drayton Grange have been advised that the Netherlands Government has awarded Captain Bennett a medal for services in rescuing the shipwrecked orew of the barque Gertrulda Gerarda, while the Drayton Grange was carrying New Zealand troops to the Cape. The owner of the barque has written thanking Captain Bennett and his orew for then- generous treatment of the castaways.
