Received February 28, 10 16 a.m. London, February 21. Harold Apted was sentenced to death for the murder of a little girl named O'Bourke, near Tonbridge, on New Year's Eve. The prisoner was twenty years of age, The jury recommended the prisoner to mercy owing to his youth. The prisoner maintained an impassive demeanour after sentence was passed. He confessed his guilt.
