SIR JOSEPH WARD AT PATEA.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Patba, February 27. Sir Joseph Ward addressed a large meeting here last night, dealing principally with financial matters. He met with a hearty reception, and a vote of thanks and confidence in the Ministry was passed. Sir Joseph left early this morning for Feilding. "" A meeting of the executive of the Seddon 'Presentation Committee was held in Wellington yesterday, when it was decided that lists be circulated in the city and in the districts from Wellington to Woodville and *L New Plymouth, except Wanganui, for signatures to the testimonial. The testimonial expresses appreciation and approval of -the prompt and praotical proofs Mr Seddon has given of the sympathy of his fellow colonists with their Motherland in South Afrioa.
